Lafayette road money touted- March 18, 2008

The biggest news for Lafayette to come out of the special session of the state legislature that ended Friday is $20 million for widening a section of U.S. Route 90, area legislators said Monday.

Louisiana lawmakers approved nearly half a billion dollars in tax breaks for individuals and businesses, and reinvested $1 billion into the state's economy during the special session that ended Friday, Gov. Bobby Jindal told a small gathering Monday afternoon in Lafayette.
