EDITORIAL
Gov. Bobby Jindal followed up the “grand slam” of his Ethics Special Session by “batting 1.000” at the Business Special Session. These were descriptions the governor himself applied to the sessions.
Some pundits quibbled about the governor’s sports hyperbole but none can question Jindal’s remarkably successful first quarter.
No other state needed ethics reform more.
The business session also provided crucial tax relief for Louisiana businesses and rightly spent a $1.1-billion surplus on highway, port and hurricane protection.
